Wetlands International: European Development Days 2021, Are natural solutions fit for climate only? Online event

Wetlands International has worked to protect wetlands since 1954. The 14th edition of the European Development Days on The Green Deal for a Sustainable Future took place in June 2021 and Wetlands International participated in this conference organizing an event to discuss and present the benefits of Nature-based solutions (NBS) in the management of disaster risk reduction (DRR). During the event, they also launched the “Words into action: NBS for Disaster Risk Reduction” which is a guide aimed at giving practical, how-to-do information on setting up and implementing nature-based solutions (NBS), especially for disaster risk reduction (DRR) but also for climate change adaptation (CCA).
