BEUC : European Commission New Consumer Agenda
BEUC is the umbrella group for 44 independent consumer organizations from 32 countries. Their main role is to represent them to the EU institutions and defend the interests of European consumers.
In November 2020, the European Commission adopted the “Consumer Agenda”, its consumer policy strategy for the next five years. It lays down the Commission’s consumer policy objectives and will serve as guidance to include consumer interests in all policy areas. Focus areas are the green and digital transition as well as the post-COVID economic recovery.
During the high-level meeting of the presentation of the assessment of BEUC, I was harvesting visually the content of the debates and the questions and answers. The visual was used as a summary sent to the partners and the different stakeholders at the EU, regional and local levels.
We used Alejandro’s services a second time to live graphic record our online General Assembly for members in November 2020. It was a great way to offer our 80+ participants an extra point of engagement to follow the meeting, and we have a beautiful record and summary of the meeting as a result! We would be keen to use his services again; he was flexible and understanding to our internal processes as an NGO, our needs and concerns as we were doing live graphic recording online for the first time, and very patient with us. Thank you Alejandro!
